Adrian Elissen is a multifaceted flamencoguitarist and composer. Some performing highlights include: a solorecital in the Concertgebouw of Amsterdam, the 11th International Percuba 2000 Festival (Havana, Cuba), Cemal Resit Rey Concert Hall, International Bursa Festival (Turkey) and the Homenaje a José Luis Postigo (Córdoba, Spain), as well as other Dutch major theaters including: De Doelen, Paradiso, Meervaart and Muziekgebouw aan 't IJ.

He received several Dutch and Spanish scholarships to study and work in Andalusia, Spain, where he was contracted for the flamenco group of the guitarist Juan Ramón Caro (Maíte Martín, Belén Maya). He was invited to play with Seville dancer Andrés Marín and he is performing as a soloist, with his trio, adding flamenco singers and dancers and collaborating with jazz and classical musicians. Adrian studied with Paco Peña at the Rotterdam Conservatory where he graduated as a soloist/performer.

Adrian was also invited to be on the examination committee of the Rotterdam Conservatory flamenco department together with Paco Peña and was appointed teacher at the Taller Flamenco in Seville, Spain. He also was invited back to tour Turkey and the Netherlands with a Sufi/Flamenco formation exploring the boundaries of world music and Flamenco. Adrian made several radio- and cd-recordings which where released by the German worldmusic label WorldNetwork.

Adrian Elissen estudió la guitarra en el conservatorio de Rotterdam donde se licenció cum laude para el examen de solista en 2001. Ha recibido una beca Española y ha tocado en el homenaje a José Luís Postigo y en muchas peñas flamencas de Andalucía. Desde entonces Adrian ha actuado en diferentes países como: El Concertgebouw de Amsterdam, Holanda, El Percuba festival 2000 en Havana, Cuba, y en varias giras por Bélgica, Alemania y Turquía. Formó parte del grupo del guitarista Juan Ramón Caro en 2003. Grabó unos discos con diversos grupos que salieron en el mercado por la casa de discos WorldNetwork. El año pasado grabó su primer disco en solitario y actuó con su propio grupo por varios países. Ha acompañado Andrés Marín y Laura Vital en Holanda y formó parte del jurado de exámenes en el conservatorio de Rotterdam junto a Paco Peña.
